As part of its commitment to promoting quality education and supporting vulnerable communities, Rabotec Group has donated educational materials worth several thousand Ghana Cedis to Billa Mahmud Memorial Future Leaders School in Tse Addo.

The donation, which took place on 19 October 2026, forms part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at improving access to education for children from underprivileged backgrounds.

The gesture was inspired by the remarkable history of the school and its ongoing efforts to provide education to children who might otherwise be deprived of the opportunity to learn.

The items donated included mathematical sets, exercise books, pens, dusters, packs of drinking water and other essential learning materials. The donation is expected to directly benefit approximately 520 students and 10 teachers, helping to improve both teaching and learning outcomes.

Upon arrival, the Rabotec delegation, led by General Manager, Mrs. Ayesha Mahama, was received by the school's management team comprising Director, Ms. Philys Ntow; Administrator, Mr. Redeemer Quartey; and Headmistress, Mrs. Mabel Akpor.

During the engagement, Mrs. Akpor shared the inspiring story behind the school. She explained that the institution was founded in 1997 by Mr. Billa Mahmud under a tree, driven by his belief that orphans and children from less privileged homes deserved access to quality education. Despite facing numerous challenges, he undertook various menial jobs to sustain the school's operations and support its students.

Expressing her gratitude, Mrs. Akpor remarked:

"Out of the many schools within your catchment area, we are pleasantly surprised that you chose us. We are truly grateful for this support."

Addressing the students, Mrs. Mahama encouraged them to remain focused on their education and to believe in their potential.

"I was once like you, and today I am the General Manager of Rabotec Group. Regardless of your circumstances, you can achieve greatness through hard work, determination and education."

Students, teachers and management of the school expressed appreciation to Rabotec Group for the timely intervention, noting that the donated materials would help ease some of the school's resource constraints.

Through initiatives such as this, Rabotec Group continues to demonstrate its commitment to empowering communities, creating opportunities for young people and investing in the development of future leaders through education.
